Mrs. Adekunbi Adesokan

 Director of Programs

She has successfully overseen the transition of over 500 households from firewood to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) usage in less than 3 years; supervised the planting of over 1,500 trees within project communities; managed the deployment of solar powered ICT centres in 25 government secondary schools in Lagos State; championed advocacy campaigns and facilitated trainings for over 2000 women on the benefits of adopting cleaner sources of energy for their homes.

Prior to her work with FOTE, Adekunbi worked with UBA as both a Fixed Income Trader and Strategy Adviser. She started her career in Deloitte where she worked as a consultant in the strategy and operations business unit. This was where she developed her passion for development and impact programmes specifically within Africa.


Adekunbi is a graduate of Economics, and a certified Project Manager with a master’s degree in Sustainable Development from the University of Sussex, United Kingdom.
