Driving Impact, Empowering Communities, Sustaining the Future.
FOTE’s activities are strategically designed to address the pressing environmental, social, and economic challenges across Africa. Our work spans five core areas, each focused on empowering communities, especially women and youth, and driving sustainable development through clean energy, environmental conservation, and capacity building.
Advocacy & Awareness Creation
Our advocacy efforts are centered around raising awareness and mobilizing action on key environmental and energy issues. We engage communities, policymakers, and stakeholders to influence attitudes, behavior, and policies towards sustainable practices. Our advocacy initiatives are aligned with our mission to drive the adoption of clean energy technologies, support gender equality, and foster sustainable environmental stewardship.
Training & Capacity Building
Our capacity-building initiatives are designed to equip individuals, organizations, and communities with the knowledge, skills, and tools needed to contribute to sustainable development. We focus on practical training and skill development, with special attention to empowering youth and women to take active roles in the clean energy sector and environmental management.
Research
Our research activities focus on providing evidence-based insights that inform the development of innovative solutions to environmental and energy challenges. We aim to identify sustainable alternatives, assess the impact of clean energy initiatives, and highlight the socio-economic benefits of transitioning to green technologies.
Partnerships
We believe in the power of collaboration to drive large-scale change. FOTE works with governments, the private sector, academic institutions, and civil society organizations to create synergies and leverage resources for impactful projects. We aim to build a network of stakeholders committed to sustainable development, clean energy, and gender equality.
Climate Programmes
FOTE leads the design and implementation of community-focused climate-related programs that prioritize women and youth empowerment. Our programs are tailored to address local challenges while promoting gender equality, youth leadership, and environmental sustainability.
