Prof. Emmanuel Olukayode Oladipo

Currently an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Geography, University of Lagos, Nigeria, Prof. Emmanuel Oladipo has taught many courses in Climatology; Physical Geography; Quantitative Methods in Geography; Natural Hazards; and Environmental Change at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria (1982-1994).
He has conducted several researches in the areas of climate change, drought, desertification and global environmental change.
His experience includes roles with the United Nations (UN) as a Regional Project Coordinator from 2006 to 2011; Assistant Resident Representative Program (ARR-P) from 2000 to 2006; Sustainable Development Adviser from 1994 to 2000 amongst others.
As a consultant, he has worked as the Lead Consultant on the development of GEF Project Document on Fostering Sustainable and Resilient Food Security in Nigeria – issues of climate change and agriculture fully under scrutiny in 2015; Supporting an International Consultant for development of a PRODOC on Derisking Renewable Energy NAMA for the Nigerian Power Sector in 2015; Team Leader, Final Evaluation of a Sustainable Land Management (SLaM) Project, Ghana, in 2009, amongst others.
Prof. Oladipo has published over 65 literary works since 1984.
